Montreal, August 24, 2020 – Starting next Monday, MAX will make way for its new fall 2020 programming! This season, viewers will enjoy the anticipated sequel to their favourite shows, as well as an unmissable exclusive new show. To watch the most popular series and critically acclaimed movies, MAX is the ultimate destination!
The best series, only on MAX!
As of the first week of programming, viewers will be treated to a new series with the Australian thriller Transgressions (Reckoning), presented exclusively on MAX. Starring actors Sam Trammell (True Blood) and Aden Young (Rectify, Killer Elite), the 10-episode miniseries will premiere on Thursday, September 3 at 8 p.m.
In addition to this new show, many must-see returns, including season 2 of Mayans M.C., will be presented on Mondays at 8 p.m. starting September 7. The list of new seasons goes on with the seventh and final part of the TV phenomenon Orange is the new black (Tuesdays 9 p.m., starting on September 15) and new episodes of Turbulences (Manifest, Wednesdays 8 p.m., starting on September 16). Superhero series will still be featured on MAX with Supergirl season 5, starting on September 8 at 10 p.m., as well as Marvel: les agents du S.H.I.E.L.D. (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) on Thursdays at 9 p.m., starting on September 15.
As of September 8 and October 8, the series Dr. House (season 6) and Bones (season 5) will return to MAX with new episodes.. They will share a time slot from Monday to Friday at 6 p.m. throughout the fall. The channel will also premiere season 3 of the popular ’90s sci-fi series X-Files: aux frontières du réel. Subscribers can conclude their evenings with new episodes from Monday to Thursday at 11 p.m. as of September 2.
Award-winning movies
MAX remains true to tradition by presenting a variety of remarkable films, ranging from classics to box-office hits and a selection of new releases. This season, film buffs will get to enjoy a customized themed programming. Evenings with Julia Roberts and Eddy Murphy, as well as Spy and Medieval specials: every genre will be covered. Breach, Deepwater Horizon, Erin Brockovich, The Goonies and Tremors are just a few examples of movies that will be featured in the movie portion of MAX!
