Montreal, August 24, 2020 – As it celebrates its first anniversary, ELLE Fictions announces its new fall programming in a week’s time! A year after taking its first steps on television, the channel has become a fan favourite and has carved out a prominent place for itself in the Quebec television scene. As of August 31st, viewers will be able to watch their favourite TV shows along with new releases!
Two new releases and awaited sequels!
On Thursdays at 8 p.m. starting September 3, ELLE Fictions will present an exclusive new series, Presque une famille (Almost Family), aired last year on FOX. Evoking the tale of the Quebec film phenomenon Starbuck, this drama stars Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect), Emily Osment (Two and a half men) and Timothy Hutton (American Crime). On October 9, the programming block vendredis tailleurs et cravates will also be inaugurated with the addition of seasons 1 to 3 of the iconic show, Suits. Starting at 5 p.m., viewers will be able to binge watch four episodes with less commercial breaks.
To round out the “Exceptional Families” themed evenings, the new generation of Dynastie will be making a comeback with its second season starting September 3. On Thursdays starting at 9 p.m., join the eccentric Carrington family for two episodes a night.
From Monday to Thursday, fans of the nostalgia series will be treated to seasons 5 and 6 of Beautés désespérées (Desperate Housewives, at 7 p.m., starting October 6), Gossip Girl (at 6 p.m., starting October 14), Gilmore Girls (at 5 p.m., starting October 14) and Les contes d’Avonlea (Road to Avonlea, at 3 p.m., starting November 2). From Friday to Saturday starting at 10 a.m., viewers will get to watch or re-watch their favourite seasons of these TV shows during our marathons!
So many movies!
From Monday to Wednesday starting at 8 p.m., evenings will be entirely dedicated to movies, both Hollywood-style and TV movies. Thanks to an exclusive agreement, the network gets the first pick of the best movies made by and for the Hallmark production and distribution company! On weekends, starting at 8 p.m., movies will be shown commercial free! From The Ugly Truth to Elizabeth: The Golden Age, not forgetting Bring it on, viewers will enjoy the ultimate romantic classics.
